Route and vehicle requirements
The pickup, destination, extra stops and return requirements define the journey. Cargo dimensions, weight and packaging determine the type of vehicle and handling needed. A quote for a small, palletised load cannot be treated as the price for long pipe segments or machinery on the same route.
Time on the job
Loading queues, site readiness and limited receiving windows can change how long a movement takes. Tell the operator about known waiting, requested night work or overnight requirements. Ask how these conditions are treated in the quote; do not assume that every delay is included or that every delay has the same charge.
Agree what is included
Request a written scope covering the vehicle and driver, loading and unloading responsibility, toll treatment, waiting terms, additional stops and any specialised support. Check the applicable payment and change terms. These are items to clarify, not a published list of JX Star surcharges.
